Another Hale Family

By Kari, 19/01/2010 7:07 pm

Here’s another great looking family!  They were down visiting when I took pictures of my cousins and asked if I could snap some quick family ones for them too.  It’s taken far too long to get them up for a quick preview – sorry!!  But here’s one for you to take a peek at, and I’ll get some more up right away, promise!!

The Big Wedding

I’ve been getting really anxious for some nice hot weather so I was looking back at pictures from the summer.  I realized that I hadn’t put any wedding pictures of Melanie and Cole yet.  Theirs was the very first wedding that I did full-day coverage, so I was SUPER nervous.  To start the day off I got dressed and realized that I couldn’t get my pants done up – I was just a few months pregnant, that real fun stage where nobody knows and you just look chubby.  So, that was awesome.  Then I looked outside – not good news!!   It was pouring outside.  And it continued to pour rain ALL day long!  Not just a little drizzle here and there.  To go along with the rain was a lovely hurricane type wind.  So, we couldn’t even sneak outside at all for any pictures.  I was definitely feeling the stress since I had planned for all of my pictures outdoors and was hours away from my studio.  But everything turned out ok.  Melanie and Cole both looked fantastic and we found some fun places to take pictures.  And a few weeks later we got together to take some outdoor shots – which is what everyone had their heart set on.  I’m so glad we decided to do a second try – we got some gorgeous pictures!!   So thanks Mel and Cole for being patient with me and for letting me share your special day with you!  You two are fantastic!

And my absolute favorite shot of the day!  I LOVE the color or the field and the sky.  Love it!

Hale Family

OH the joys of taking pictures outside in the winter!  Chilly hands, freezing feet, shivering, chattering teeth……but it’s all TOTALLY worth it!  We got some beautiful pictures!  This is the Hale family – my aunt and uncle and all of their kids.  They are such a great family and they were all really good sports about being out in the cold.  This is just a quick sneak peek, there are still more to come.  But I had to get some up before my aunt and uncle leave for Aruba tomorrow – wish it was me going instead!

Elder Hale

By Kari, 06/01/2010 11:06 pm

My ‘little’ cousin Tyson just left to serve a two year mission for our church. OK – he’s not that little anymore, but I still remember him being little and that makes me feel a bit old!  His three older brothers have all served missions as well and they have all had portraits taken before they left.  So not wanting to break tradition, we made out way out into the freezing cold to snap a few shots.  You look great Tys – and you are going to be a FANTASTIC missionary!  See you in two years!
